From My Heart to Yours

"Your great mistake is to act the drama as if you were alone.

As if life were a progressive and cunning crime with no witness to the tiny hidden transgressions.

To feel abandoned is to deny the intimacy of your surroundings.

Surely, even you, at times, have felt the grand array; the swelling presence, and the chorus, crowding out your solo voice."

- David Whyte, Everything is Waiting for You

Sometimes art is all we have to lean on in the chaos of the unfolding of our lives.

It’s a sanctuary for the heart with no home.

Sometimes the beauty of the world is all we can find peace in within the void of longing for meaning and light.

Homesick for the divine and broken hearted by the vast darkness seeming to threaten to consume our world and all we have left.

But art and music can never leave our side, for it is a reflection of the most vibrant potential we have as individuals and community.

It is so often a glimpse into what we are most deeply connected to as our highest selves, regardless of what is reflected, if we let it be.

In gratitude, I pick myself up from sadness, fear and frustration to breathe life into what gives me hope and reminds me of what we’re all fighting for.

May we all find what continues to give us hope through the darkest days, knowing we will always find our way.

Countless others before us and countless others after us have and will find their way through so much more, and so can we.

This is an opening, a breathe of fresh air inviting us to take the first step into our new lives. May you always find your way home.

Music is something that cannot be held, only shared and felt.

Art is something that can only be surrendered to and witnessed.

And yet there is often more comfort to be found than in all the graspable objects of the world.

We attempt to intellectualize and overthink, but at the end of the day, our creation is something no one can ever truly take away.

May the right music and inspirations always find you when you need them most.

May you always remember that you have eternal friends in the creative unknown.

We must simply keep our hands open to find there's always a flicker of light waiting to be let in.

Happy full moon, dear fellow humans. May you find your way back to the light within always.
